One of the hottest AC trends to hit the market this summer was the Mitsubishi ductless mini split air conditioning unit. They offer an alternative way to cool rooms in homes or in commercial spaces that don’t offer AC.
As with all things from the Japanese multinational manufacturer, the technology behind Mitsubishi AC is swift and superior to others on the market. Here’s how it works:
The unit is installed with an outside compressor and condenser unit that sucks air in. It cools the air, sends it through an exterior conduit in wall that connects to an opposing interior unit. It senses the temperature inside so it can fixate the right temp for the air. Then it can be directed to a specific area or fanned throughout the room.
Most of the ductless mini splits can also product warm air, so there’s no need to swap out units come winter. It’s a perfectly efficient piece of technology!
Although not cheaper to purchase, ductless ACs are less expensive to operate, making them ideal for smaller areas.
