Halloween in Miami is all about jungles and zoos, pumpkin patches and even haunted house tours. These events top the list of things to do in Miami with kids and if you’re looking for specific places, dates and times to get started, we’ve put together a list for you.

First off, the chances are you won’t be able to contain your children’s excitement for long and getting an early start on Halloween is perfect! To get a started early on Halloween festivities, check out the following events:

The Pumpkin Patch At Pinto’s Farm

This event runs from September 30 to October 30, 2016, at Redland Citrus Orchards: 14890 SW 216 Street, Miami, FL 33170. Race karts, tractor rides, and paddle boats are just some of the pre-Halloween attractions you can use to ramp your children up for the big event.

Pony rides and a petting zoo add some nice touches so they can connect with animals and a fully equipped playground and bouncing house will help them to burn off any excess energy they have before October 31 and the big day.

Peter Pan Pirate Party at Stranahan House

Some of the best things to do in Miami involve letting the children get a close-up view of other people wearing costumes. This party is a great way to get them ready for Halloween on Saturday, October 15. Boys and girls will be excited to join in with their favorite characters like Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy and the lost boys for an excellent adventure along The New River.

The event takes place from 11:00 am to 12: 30 pm at Stranahan House at 335 Southeast 6th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

If you’re looking for an upscale neighborhood to celebrate those fun witches and ghouls, the Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival might be the best choice for a weekend of family fun.

This fun filled family weekend includes pumpkins and hayrides as well as scarecrows and hay mazes so that everyone in the family can join in this event that runs from October 21-23. For the kids, there is a Pumpkin Court Feast that you won’t want to miss. If Mom and Dad get a little time away, they’ve also put in a Pumpkin Beer Garden especially for them.

The location is Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, located at 2699 SW 27th Avenue, Coconut Grove, FL 33133.
